The Santa Monica Minute: Episode 14, Halloween Edition

Quick look at events taking place in and around Santa Monica College for the week of October 30, 2017

To start off the Halloween week, here's something extra scary, transfer college applications. Application deadlines are a month away. But no worries, Monday the 30th the transfer counseling center will be having open lab time to help you fill out applications for UC's, CSU's, and many other colleges.

Get your presale tickets now for $15 and celebrate your Halloween night at Nightmare on Main Street, hosted by Bareburger. There'll be a costume contest, DJ dance party, outdoor movies, and food provided by Bareburger's very own menu, including organic fare you could die for.

On November 2nd, spend Dia de Los Muertos with an altar and presentation by the Homeboys and Homegirls Scholars by the SMC Clock Tower. If you can't make it, you can always honor the dead later in the day at Virginia Avenue Park for the main ceremony from 5pm to 9pm.

Lastly, support SMC's Applied Music Program at the Benefit Concert held on Friday evening. Student instrumentalists, vocalists, and composers are sure to put on a show so good, it's spine-chilling.

This have been your Santa Monica Minute. Good bye and Happy Halloween.
