On Friday, Feb. 28, the Santa Monica College (SMC) Corsair men’s volleyball team faced their conference opponent, the Moorpark College (MC) Raiders, at the SMCgymnasium and delivered a three-set victory over the Corsairs. The Corsairs lost the first two sets early to the Raiders, trailing behind 12-25 and 16-25. The Corsairs were able to come back from behind, but a close match ultimately led with the Raiders clinching a sweep and a conference victory (25-23).  

The SMC men’s volleyball team now has an overall record of three wins and seven losses. The Corsairs will need to defeat Los Angeles Pierce College at their next home game on Wednesday, Mar. 5, in order to overcome their five-game losing streak.
