Blues guitarist, Samantha Fish, played to a sold out crowd last Friday at The Troubadour. On tour to promote her new album, Kill Or Be Kind, which was released on September 20th, she played back-to-back nights at the West Hollywood venue.

The setlist mixed straight-ahead rock tunes, mostly from her new album, with the blues numbers she first became known for, and she closed the show with Crow Jane, a primordial blues from the 1920's that she recorded a couple albums back.

The 30 year old guitarist is a fluent and passionate performer, and her voice has matured in the last few years; her fine control of a songs dynamics, from a whisper to a roar, is now a hallmark of her style.

Definitely a crowd-pleaser, an encore was demanded after her 45 minutes set, but New Orleans crooner, Marc Broussard, was due up next, and the audience was left loudly wanting more.
