Their annual Make Jazz Fellowship, selected pianist and composer Paul Cornish, as their 2021 artist in residence. Women's Suffrage History on Display

A display case of letters written by the famous women’s rights activist, Alice Stone Blackwell, attracted a small crowd of museum visitors on Thursday March 5, during the grand opening of the “All Is Possible: Women’s Suffrage in California” Exhibition at the Santa Monica History Museum. The exhibition is open in tandem with Women’s History Month and will run until June 6.

Pico Block Party: Empowering Youth Voices Through Music and Art

The 18th Street Arts Center held the third annual Pico Block Party this Saturday, May 19 from 3-6 p.m. to promote youth voices by getting them involved in the community. The block party is a community arts festival that featured events for the whole family, with art workshops that kids could participate in, musical performances, artists' open studios, and food trucks for the hungry attendee.

SMC's Moon Over Buffalo Play

After a very intense month of rehearsal, ranging from four to six hours a day, the cast of Moon Over Buffalo took to the Theater Arts main stage at Santa Monica College on Thursday September 28, 2017, for their preview showing. It takes place in 1953 and is about the madcap comedy, Moon Over Buffalo.
