Men's Volleyball wins state title
The Santa Monica College Corsairs men’s volleyball team defeated the El Camino College Warriors 3-1 in the California Community College Athletic Association men’s volleyball championship, Saturday night. The win secured the Corsairs their first state title since 1981.
The blue and white split the first two sets with the Warriors and then proceeded to close out ECC in two straight sets.
Sophomore right side hitter Taylor Tattersall won tournament most valuable player and was one of three Corsairs named to the all tournament team.
SMC finished the season 18-2.
